As we have witnessed this year, vulnerable populations have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Research has also shown that these same populations are targeted by industries that promote products that are fundamentally detrimental to their health, such as alcohol, tobacco, and guns. Director and Associate Director of the GWSPH Center for Commercial Determinants of Health Dr. Adnan Hyder and Dr. Nino Paichadze discuss this newer field of research and how they plan to hold these industries accountable.
